Jammu, May 3 -- Three construction workers died and another injured after an old bridge collapsed on Friday in Jammu's Bantalab area, officials said on Saturday. They said while one worker, a mason, was rescued on Friday, three bodies were recovered from the debris on Saturday, following a nightlong search and rescue operation. On Friday evening, four construction workers were trapped after an old bridge, adjoining an under construction bridge, collapsed in the Thuther area of Bantalab. Earlier, a mason, identified as Tarsem Lal, was rescued, while an operation was launched to rescue the remaining workers.
