Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 12 -- ThiruvananthapuramA man sold a Kerala couple the idea that human sacrifice could lead to prosperity; together, the three lured two women to the couple's Pathanamthitta house over a four-month period, killed them and buried them in the backyard after cutting their bodies into pieces. The three were arrested on Tuesday, police said. According to officials, it all started eight months back when Mohammad Shafi alias Rasheed advertised that he had the ability to conduct rituals to make his clients rich. The couple, Bhagaval Singh and Laila, contacted Shafi, who described himself as a traditional healer. Shafi then persuaded the couple that human sacrifice would change their fortunes.
