New Delhi, April 15 -- A 25-year-old woman, who was arrested in connection with several cases of drugs smuggling, will be shifted from Tihar jail to a prison in Chennai under the PITNDPS ACT to "dismantle" her links to local drug dealers and her network, police said.
Police said the woman will be shifted to Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, to break the narcotics supply chain. She is involved in three NDPS cases and a Pocso case.
Investigators said she has been actively involved in illicit drug trafficking since 2021. In 2021, she was arrested as the source of a drug module which was booked under NDPS Act at Govindpuri. htc
