Goa, Dec. 20 -- Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho, accompanied by his son Mackclean Godinho, cast his vote for the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections at a polling booth in Chicalim on Sunday.

Speaking to the media after voting, Godinho described elections as a "festival of democracy" and appealed to citizens to actively participate in the democratic process. He said the ZP elections provide voters with an opportunity to elect representatives committed to development, good governance and grassroots-level progress.
