Goa, Dec. 20 -- Polling for the ongoing Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections saw a robust voter turnout across several constituencies in South Goa, with encouraging participation recorded till 12 noon, according to election officials.
Guirdolim reported the highest turnout at 50 per cent, indicating strong voter enthusiasm. Velim followed with 44 per cent, while Curtorim and Navelim each recorded 42 per cent polling by midday.
Turnout in Colva stood at 41 per cent, matching figures from Raia and Davorlim, both of which also reported 41 per cent voter participation. Benaulim and Nuvem recorded 40 per cent turnout each, reflecting steady polling across these constituencies.
