Goa, Dec. 20 -- Goa recorded an impressive 63.59 per cent voter turnout in the Zilla Panchayat elections by 4 pm, with over 5.52 lakh votes cast across 50 constituencies. North Goa outpaced South Goa in voter participation. Querim led with the highest turnout, while Pale, Nagargao, Latambarcem and Honda also reported strong polling. Constituencies such as Cortalim, Navelim, Curtorim, Colva and Raia registered comparatively lower turnout. The figures marked a sharp rise from the 48.76 per cent turnout recorded at 2 pm. Polling remained peaceful with no untoward incidents reported.
