Goa, Jan. 8 -- The Bombay High Court at Goa has deferred the hearing on a plea seeking cancellation of bail granted to Zenito Cardozo, posting the matter for January 31. The adjournment came after Cardozo's counsel requested additional time to file a reply to the application. During the hearing, advocate Pavithran appeared on behalf of complainant Rama Kankonkar and urged the court to cancel Cardozo's bail in connection with the alleged assault case. The court allowed the request for time, granting Cardozo an opportunity to submit his response before proceeding further.
