Goa, Dec. 2 -- A serious accident took place near the Polytechnic at Cacora-Curchorem after a young boy fell from his vehicle and suffered major injuries. He was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre in Curchorem for medical attention.

Local residents have blamed the mishap on the unsafe conditions created by the ongoing water pipeline project in the area. They allege that excavation work has left the road partially blocked, with no barricades, caution boards, or warning signs in place. Loose soil scattered across the stretch has further increased the risk for motorists, making the road dangerously unstable.

Residents have urged authorities to take urgent corrective measures to prevent more accidents.
