Goa, Dec. 12 -- The Yellow-Black taxi operators' counter at Thivim Railway Station was demolished on Thursday as part of the railway authorities' ongoing station upgradation initiative.

According to sources, the counter was removed to make way for planned infrastructure enhancements and a redesign of passenger circulation areas. The move is aimed at improving overall station efficiency and accommodating future development plans.

However, the sudden demolition has raised concerns among taxi operators, who say the lack of prior notice may disrupt their daily operations and inconvenience commuters who rely on their services.
