MAPUSA, May 15 -- Hosts Xetrapal SC edged past Augustias SC Pomburpa, 10-9, via sudden death in a dramatic encounter of the Xetrapal Cup 2025, organised by Xetrapal SC Oxel and played at Oxel ground, on Thursday. The teams remained deadlocked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Pawan put Augustias SC ahead after the interval, but Kanya Govekar struck the equaliser for Xetrapal.

With the scores level, the match was decided by penalties, eventually going into sudden death. Xetrapal held their nerve to clinch a 9-8 victory.
