MAPUSA: Xetrapal Sports Club registered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Sinquerim Sports Club in a keenly contested match of the Assonora United Super Soccer Cup organised by Assonora United FC at the Assonora sports complex ground.
Krish Naroji drew first blood in the 15th minute of the match when he connected a measured-cross from Saimesh Gaonkar to put the ball past the Xetrapal SC goalkeeper to give Sinquerim SC the lead, 1-0.
Sinquerim SC's joy did not last long as Xetrapal SC scored the equaliser in 20th when Kanhaiya chased a through ball by Chandrakant to fake the onrushing goalkeeper to tap into the open goal, 1-1.
