Xetrapal SC registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over Saligao United SC in the inaugural match of the 17th edition of the Late Pio Jose Goveia memorial invitational football tournament, organised by YSC Colvale and played at the Colvale Church ground, on Wednesday.Xetrapal SC created two clear chances in the first half, but Vishank struck the side post and Kanish Govekar fired over the bar.The breakthrough finally arrived in the 45th minute when Gaurav Vaigankar rose to head home the winner. He was later adjudged man-of-the-match for his decisive contribution.
