Water Resources Department (WRD) Minister Subash Shirodkar and Savordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, along with a team of WRD officials and engineers, on Saturday conducted an inspection of the confluence point of the Dudhsagar and Undai rivers at Nirankal-Dabal. This area is prone to flooding during the monsoon season, which impacts the residents of both the Shiroda and Savordem Constituencies.
During the monsoon, the significant flow of the Dudhsagar River from Karnataka often leads to flooding. This high water level obstructs the natural flow of the smaller Undai River at their confluence in Nirankal-Dabal, subsequently causing the Undai River to flood the Nirankal-Dabal villages.
