Goa, Nov. 16 -- A bride-to-be was allegedly killed by her fiance in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, barely an hour before their wedding ceremony. The incident occurred near Tekri Chowk in the Prabhudas Lake area after an argument broke out between the couple over a saree and money. Police said the two had been living together for more than a year and had completed most pre-wedding rituals. During the quarrel, the man reportedly struck the woman with an iron pipe and smashed her head against a wall, resulting in her death. He also vandalised the house before fleeing. Police officers who arrived at the scene said the families had earlier opposed the relationship. A separate complaint has been registered as the investigation continues.
