Goa, Jan. 3 -- A suspected drunk driving incident has been reported near the Bhagweshwar Temple in Talaulim, Ponda, where a woman sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car in a hit-and-run case. She was immediately shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) for treatment.

After striking the woman, the driver allegedly rammed the vehicle into an electricity pole while attempting to flee. Locals managed to apprehend him and claimed he appeared so intoxicated that he was unable to even state his name.

Police have initiated further investigation into the case, and appropriate legal action is expected to follow.
