Goa, Dec. 2 -- The Winter Session of Parliament commenced on Monday and will run until December 19, marking one of the shortest sessions in recent years. Proceedings on the opening day were repeatedly disrupted in the Lok Sabha as opposition MPs launched protests alleging electoral malpractice. Raising slogans such as "vote chor, gaddi chod," they demanded an immediate debate on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across the country.
