Goa, June 8 -- DIGIPIN (Digital Postal Index Number) is an innovative digital addressing system launched by the Department of Posts, now gaining significant attention. Developed in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad and ISRO's National Remote Sensing Centre, DIGIPIN redefines location accuracy in India. Unlike traditional six-digit PIN codes that cover broad geographic regions, DIGIPIN assigns a unique 10-character alphanumeric code to every 4m x 4m grid across the country.
