Goa, April 5 -- Residents of Kashti, a village in Sanguem, are facing severe water shortages after the water pump supplying the Kuinamol water tank broke down four days ago, leaving the area without a reliable water source. With no natural springs, rivers, or alternative water resources in the region, villagers are forced to travel over 5 kilometers to access the tank, struggling to meet their daily water needs.
Locals report that the water pump malfunctions every three months, causing repeated distress and disruption. The water tank itself is in poor condition-small, rusted, and unable to adequately serve the needs of the community, yet it continues to supply water to the village taps.
