Goa, Nov. 9 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive began across Goa on November 4, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducting door-to-door visits to collect voter details. However, the process has drawn criticism from citizens, who say the long list of self-attested documents is "cumbersome and unnecessary."

Voters also questioned the inclusion of "Extract of electoral roll of Bihar SIR with reference to 01.07.2025" in the form, suspecting it was circulated without edits from a national template. Some even raised privacy concerns, claiming that voter enrolment appears tied to citizenship proof.
