India, Feb. 23 -- Residents from Assolda, Xelvona, Xic-Xelvona and Hodar, along with people from the Curchorem constituency, gathered outside the Town and Country Planning (TCP) office at Patto in Panjim on Monday, demanding that the proposed coal jetty project be scrapped.
The protesters assembled in large numbers and voiced strong opposition to the project, expressing concerns over its potential environmental and social impact. They urged authorities to withdraw the proposal and take into account the sentiments of local communities.
