India, Feb. 19 -- The Village Panchayat Morjim has sealed the premises of ZUHRA and Pub P Hospitality Pvt Ltd after initiating action under Section 72-A of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994.

According to panchayat sources, the establishments were allegedly operating without obtaining valid permissions from the concerned authorities. Following due process, the local body took enforcement action and sealed the premises.

Section 72-A of the Act empowers panchayats to act against unauthorised constructions or commercial activities carried out without mandatory approvals.

Officials stated that the action was taken in accordance with the provisions of the law. Further proceedings in the matter are expected as per statutory requirements.
