Goa, Sept. 11 -- Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has criticised MRF Tyres for conducting interviews for only 250 trainees in Kudal, Maharashtra, for its upcoming Ponda unit, despite the Industrial Promotion Board (IPB) approving 1,250 jobs for Goans.
Sardesai described the move as a "direct attack on Goan youth" and expressed concern over the limited opportunity being given to local candidates. He urged Chief Minister to intervene and ensure that Goan residents get priority in employment at the Ponda unit.
The MLA's statement comes amid growing debates over local employment rights and the implementation of job approvals for Goan youth in new industrial projects.
