Goa, Sept. 19 -- In a swift breakthrough, Verna police cracked a burglary case in Cortalim within 24 hours, arresting one accused and recovering the stolen property.
The accused, identified as Prashanta Sonar (35), a native of Assam, was arrested for allegedly stealing gold ornaments valued at around Rs.1.30 lakh.
Police confirmed that the stolen jewellery was recovered from the accused, bringing relief to the complainant.
Officials praised the prompt investigation that led to the quick detection of the case. Further inquiry is underway.
