Goa, Jan. 9 -- Verna Police have registered a first information report (FIR) against Shoheb Mohamad Nadaf, a resident of Haveli in Pune district, Maharashtra, for allegedly possessing e-cigarettes in violation of the law.
According to police sources, the accused was found in possession of 15 e-cigarettes valued at approximately Rs.40,000. The seizure was made during a routine check, following which legal action was initiated.
Police officials stated that an FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the banned products and whether others are involved in the case.
