Goa, Nov. 27 -- AAP Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas strongly criticised the Goa government and the electricity department for issuing a two-day disconnection notice to households with inaccessible meters. He said the decision was harsh, insensitive and not in the interest of ordinary Goans who are already burdened by rising costs. Venzy questioned why the government shows such urgency only with common citizens while turning a blind eye to industries that reportedly owe huge electricity dues. He alleged that authorities seem to act selectively and hinted that officials were going soft on industrial defaulters. He demanded fair action and equal accountability from the government.
