Goa, July 7 -- In a heartening move to reconnect with their roots, the Velsao Farmers Association has launched a mission to revive ancestral farmlands in the scenic village of Velsao, Goa. Spearheaded by Association President Roquezinho D'Souza, the initiative seeks to restore traditional farming practices, promote community participation, and inspire the younger generation to embrace agriculture.

The association has begun reclaiming long-abandoned fields-once the agricultural lifeline of the village-clearing dense overgrowth, rebuilding bunds, and preparing the land for crops such as paddy and vegetables.
