India, Jan. 30 -- Ending a public demand that has remained pending for over four decades, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar has initiated the phased restoration of the major nullah at Sasmolem, with the project estimated to cost around 1 crore.

Salkar said the long-awaited restoration work is being planned systematically to ensure sustainable development in the area. He emphasised that road works in Vasco will be taken up only after the completion of canalling of the nullah, undergrounding of high-tension power lines and laying of sewerage pipelines.
