Goa, Dec. 17 -- Valpoi Police have registered an FIR against one Vithal Zore for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting a 41-year-old woman near Redyeghat Amyakade in Valpoi (Sattari), close to a mining pit.

According to police sources, the accused allegedly confined the woman inside his car, sexually assaulted her, and robbed her of her belongings. It is further alleged that he issued death threats to the victim during the incident.

Based on the woman's complaint, police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and have launched an investigation into the matter. Further inquiry is underway to trace the accused and verify the sequence of events surrounding the crime.
