Goa, March 7 -- The United States Supreme Court denied an "emergency application" submitted by Tahawwur Rana, who is accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Rana's application contested his extradition to India, asserting that he would face torture due to his status as a Muslim of Pakistani descent. A Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, Rana had previously filed an "Emergency Application For Stay" with the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court and Circuit Justice for the Ninth Circuit.
