Goa, Feb. 25 -- For the first time since the onset of Russia's invasion of Ukraine three years ago, the United States aligned its vote with Russia in an effort to obstruct a draft resolution proposed by Ukraine at the United Nations. This resolution advocated for "de-escalation, an early cessation of hostilities, and a peaceful resolution" to the ongoing conflict. The resolution ultimately received support from European nations and the G7, excluding the United States.
