Goa, Oct. 31 -- In a stern move, the Urban Health Centre (UHC), Mapusa, has issued a final notice to the Chief Officer of Mapusa Municipal Council, directing immediate cleanup and restoration of hygiene at the Mapusa fish and meat market within seven days, or face indefinite sealing of the premises.

The notice, signed by the Urban Health Officer, highlights gross negligence and administrative failure on the part of the municipal council, which has allegedly ignored repeated directives to maintain sanitary standards in the busy market area.
