MAPUSA: United Club Verna demolished Sai Avtar SC, Anjuna, 10-9 via sudden death in the 1st Siolim Villagers Cup organised by FC Siolim at Siolim ground, on Thursday.

Kreepal Dhargalkar put Sai Avtar SC ahead in the 23rd minute with a neat placement, 1-0.

On crossing ends, United Club Verna came with renewed ideas and managed to level terms in the 44th minute through the boots of Agnel Abranches, 1-1.

With the match ending in a 1-1 draw, penalty shoot-out was enforced where United Club Verna proved to be better shooters winning the match by 9-8 margin.
