Goa, Dec. 14 -- A research study by Stanford University Medicine, and another study by the Indian Rheumatology Association, have asserted that women are the worst affected by autoimmune disorders. When the body's immune system, which normally fights germs, mistakenly attacks its own healthy cells, tissues, and organs, causing inflammation and damage, it is called an autoimmune disorder. There are over 80 types, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Type 1 Diabetes, often causing chronic fatigue, pain, swelling, and affecting various parts of the body, with symptoms that can flare up and go into remission
