That is exactly what we witnessed when UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, during his visit to Islamabad, praised India and Pakistan for agreeing to a ceasefire, calling it a "positive step" toward lasting regional peace. Lammy acknowledged the emotional impact the conflict had on millions of British citizens of Indian and Pakistani heritage, describing the recent cross-border clashes as "deeply distressing."
