Goa, July 5 -- Two decades after their political fallout, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray are set to share the stage at the 'Awaj Marathicha' (Voice of Marathi) rally in Mumbai's Worli - a development seen as a major moment in Maharashtra politics.

The rally, organized in response to the Mahayuti government's controversial (and now-withdrawn) move to make Hindi compulsory as a third language in primary schools, marks a rare show of unity between the Thackeray cousins. Both parties had strongly opposed the decision, joining voices with civil society groups and intellectuals - ultimately leading to the government's rollback.
