RAIA, Oct. 9 -- United Boys of Ambaulim booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 42nd Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup with a 3-0 victory over Raia Sporting Club, at the Padribhat ground. Raia Sporting almost took the lead early on when Rivi Borges missed the target by inches, while United's Savlon Fernandes squandered a clear chance in the 40th minute. After a goalless first half, Ambaulim broke through in the 49th minute as Alex Fernandes netted the opener. Three minutes later, Alex struck again to double the lead before Dylan Carvalho added a third to complete the rout. Alex Fernandes was awarded man-of-the-match trophy from Inacio Noronha.
