Goa, May 1 -- The United States has urged both India and Pakistan to ease rising tensions following the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed the lives of 26 civilians. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held separate calls with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and regional stability.
Rubio reaffirmed Washington's support for New Delhi in its fight against terrorism and pressed Islamabad to fully cooperate with the investigation into what he described as an "unconscionable" attack.
