PONDA, Oct. 23 -- Collem Police arrested 23-year-old Pandappa Rathod and 26-year-old Jagdish Rathod, residents of Karnataka and Nesai respectively, for stealing bhandara plates stored by Water Resources Department in a godown at Bimble.
WRD Assistant Engineer Mohan Raikar, in his police complaint, stated that the plates kept at Bimble were stolen by unknown persons on Saturday night.
Acting on the complaint, the Collem Police team led by PI Prajyoth Fadte, PSI Ajay Dhuri and others arrested the accused and recovered 37 plates worth around Rs 1.70 lakh. The police also attached a rickshaw used for transporting the plates.
