Goa, March 13 -- On Wednesday, two female journalists were taken into custody for reportedly sharing a video that included offensive comments about Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the state government. Pogadadanda Revathi, the managing director of a social media channel, along with reporter Bandi Sandhya, were apprehended by the cybercrime police in Hyderabad and have been placed in judicial custody until March 26.

The arrests were prompted by a complaint lodged on March 10 by the social media team of Telangana Congress, which alleged that the individuals were disseminating politically charged material.
