Goa, Dec. 14 -- A fire erupted near a four star hotel in Baga-Arpora, gutting two large diesel generators used by the hotel establishment. The blaze broke out around 11:04 AM on Sunday, suspected to stem from overloading causing a short circuit.

Alerted by the initial call, Pilerne Fire Station sought reinforcements. A skilled team from Mapusa Fire Station, led by firefighter Suraj Shetgaonkar, raced to the scene. Upon arrival, they faced two massive generators fully engulfed in flames, posing a grave threat to adjacent structures.
