Goa, March 24 -- Officials stated that the situation, which occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday, was quickly brought under control.
On Sunday night, a delay in the departure of several trains at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) led to heavy crowding at platforms 12 and 13, officials said. However, they reassured the public that no stampede occurred and no injuries were reported.
The incident, which took place around 9 p.m., briefly raised concerns, as it reminded many of the tragic stampede at NDLS on February 15 that resulted in 18 deaths. Despite the large crowds, officials stated the situation was quickly brought under control.
