Goa, Dec. 21 -- A tragic incident involving the death of a pet cat has led to a positive road safety intervention in Arambol, Goa. The cat, named Pao, was killed by a speeding vehicle on an internal road frequently used as a shortcut by motorists. The incident prompted local resident Sushant Naik to raise concerns over reckless driving on the stretch, which posed a serious risk to pedestrians, children and senior citizens.

Following persistent follow-ups with authorities, speed breakers were installed at the accident-prone location.
