Goa, June 4 -- A tragic shooting incident in Toronto's Lawrence Heights neighbourhood claimed one life and left five others injured on Tuesday night, according to local media reports citing police sources.

The Toronto Police Service and emergency responders rushed to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m., following reports of gunfire near the intersection of Flemington and Zachary Roads, close to Ranee Avenue and Allen Road.

Upon arrival, officers found one individual deceased at the scene. The five others who were shot sustained injuries that are reported to be non-life-threatening and were immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.
