DONA PAULA: The third day of the 24th World IPCA (International Physically Disabled Chess Association) Individual Chess Championship 2025 saw a shift in momentum as the top seed, IM Molenda Marcin of Poland, was held to a draw by Ayapov Alimzhan of Kazakhstan in a gripping fourth-round encounter, at the International Centre Goa, here, on Thursday.

The result leaves Marcin on 3.5 points as the race for the top position intensifies.

Taking the lead at the end of Round 4 are FM Liplin Llia and Dzenisenia Mikhail, both representing FIDE, with a perfect score of four points each.
