Goa, Jan. 19 -- In a growing cause for concern for the state government, threat perception to elected representatives has increased, with the Goa Police providing security cover to 15 sitting MLAs as part of enhanced security arrangements.

According to state sources, the State Security Review Committee (SSRC) has approved security cover for 18 individuals, including 15 MLAs, two former MLAs and a prominent writer. The move reflects rising security concerns and the need to ensure the safety of public representatives and eminent personalities.
