Goa, Jan. 9 -- A theft has been reported at the Nagnath Mahadev Temple in Lingabhat, Parra, where unknown persons allegedly broke into the temple and fled with approximately Rs.30,000 in cash from the donation box.

According to police sources, the miscreants also vandalised the temple idol, causing distress among local devotees. The incident has triggered concern in the area, particularly as this marks the third theft reported at the same temple.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify those responsible. Locals have urged authorities to enhance security measures at the temple to prevent such repeated incidents.
