India, Dec. 8 -- Tensions between Thailand and Cambodia flared dramatically on Monday as Thailand carried out airstrikes along the disputed border, signalling a major setback to the peace plan brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump just two months earlier.

Fresh hostilities broke out early Monday, with both governments accusing each other of initiating attacks amid weeks of mounting friction and Thailand's earlier halt to progress on the ceasefire agreement.
