Goa, April 23 -- Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir - April 22, 2025 - In one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, 26 people were killed when gunmen opened fire on tourists at the picturesque Baisaran meadow, often called "mini Switzerland," around 2:30 PM on Tuesday.
The Resistance Front (TRF) - a proxy of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - has claimed responsibility for the brutal assault. A chilling image from the attack site captured one of the assailants, dressed in a grey kurta-pajama and wielding an AK-47, moments before the carnage unfolded.
