CURCHOREM, Jan. 19 -- In a hit-and-run accident, Akshay Vadar, 18, a resident of Gudemol-Sanvordem died at Daddem-Sanvordem on Monday.
Vadar was hit by a truck on a turn when he was on his two-wheeler, with his cousin Vinit Vadar, 14, who was on the pillion.
According to police the truck driver fled from the scene with his vehicle after the accident. The police were trying to trace him till late Monday evening. The body of the deceased has been preserved at Hospicio Hospital, Margao for conducting a post-mortem. The pillion rider, Vinit, is admitted for medical treatment. PSI Karishma Prabhu is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Ravindra Dessai.
