Goa, May 16 -- The Government of Goa has launched the revamped Mhaji Bus Scheme 2025 to provide direct financial and infrastructural support to private bus operators, replacing the earlier revenue-sharing model with Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL). Key features include a Rs.3/km fuel subsidy, 50% reimbursement of insurance premiums (up to Rs.30,000), and Rs.10 lakh assistance for replacing buses older than 15 years with new ones seating at least 27 passengers. Unlike the earlier scheme, operators now retain full fare revenue and are not required to share it with KTCL.
